A lifelong fiction writer, Isabel Harding grew up in Atlanta, Georgia. She graduated from Agnes Scott College with a B.A. in English and French. After college, she lived in Paris, where she participated in writing workshops at the legendary Shakespeare & Co. bookstore and was an active member of Spoken Word Paris.
Following her time abroad, Isabel earned her MFA in Creative Writing at the University of Minnesota, with Charles Baxter and Julie Schumacher acting as her primary mentors and advisors. In 2015 she served as the 2015-2016 Emerging Writer-in-Residence at Randolph College in Lynchburg, Virginia.
Isabel currently lives in Minneapolis, where she teaches at the Loft Literary Center and the University of Minnesota. Her body of work includes a novel, a short story collection, and a novel-in-progress.
